Regenerative air dryers

Aggressive Air Compressor co. is a factory Authorised distributor for Sullivan-Palatek dryers

A regenerative dryer delivers a dew point of approximately −40 °F (−40 °C)

The compressed air enters the dryer where it is passed through one tower of a pressure vessel with two towers. These towers are filled with a desiccant material which attracts the water from the compressed air via adsorbtion. The other tower is, at the same time, being purged of moisture. The dryer is timed to switch towers based on a standard NEMA cycle. The saturated desiccant is dried by one of three methods.

SPS Series Heatless dryers

A portion of the dried compressed air leaving one tower is bled off and passed through the other tower where it purges the captured moisture from the desiccant and is then vented to atmosphere. This purge air bleed causes a pressure and flow drop of the delivered air of up to 15%.

SPEH Series Heated dryers

A portion of the dried compressed air leaving one tower is bled off and heated before passing through the other tower where it purges the captured moisture from the desiccant and is then vented to atmosphere. This requires substantially less purge air than a heatless dryer.

SPBS Series Externally heated blower dryers

The heated purge air is generated by a separate blower thereby eliminating the pressure and flow drop caused by bleed air purging.
